Instagram has made a lot of changes lately, in hopes of making the app more appealing to businesses. If your brand was staying away from Instagram before, now is the time to reconsider.

In the beginning of 2016 Instagram launched a new algorithm, putting sponsored posts and perceived most relevant content at the top of users’ feeds. Although it wasn’t initially welcomed by users, Instagram has stuck with it and users are being pushed content, allowing businesses and brands to be at the top of feeds.

In general, social media posts with photo or video content are much more popular than text or link based posts, making Instagram an ideal social platform for businesses’ to get more engagement with their consumers.
