Facebook to Improve Video Advertisements with Captions

We are living in a visual and video-oriented world. Consumers skip over written posts in their newsfeeds in favor for visually appealing content. Facebook is hoping to impress advertisers with its improved video advertisements now including captions for silent branded videos.

Facebook conducted tests to determine the impact of including captions on videos and found that it increased video view time by 12 percent. Videos on the social platform have been very successful with users viewing more than 100 million hours of video each day. Facebook suggests that the videos advertisers run on its site are different than the commercials run on TV.
