Facebook pages, your new shopping center

Facebook recently announced a change to their Pages feature which aims to make business a lot easier for the 45 million companies currently using the social network. There will soon be a Shopping and Services section that will allow businesses to highlight their offerings.

Not only will there but new sections, but Facebook is making the layouts of these business pages more user friendly. Buttons for “Call Now,” “Send Message,” and “Contact Us,” are being tested and redesigned to be displayed prominently at the top of the screen so customers don’t have to search to find basic information.

Facebook released a statement about their goal with Pages, stating that, “no matter if you’re a plumbing company, a flower shop, a non-profit or a brand, your Page should house the information people are looking for, help you communicate with your customers, and support your unique goals.”

These changes are just the beginning of changes and new features coming for businesses.
