Instagram Has Over 200,000 Advertisers

Five months after opening up advertising to all marketers, Instagram has reached over 200,000 advertisers. The visual sharing site reached this accomplishment by introducing longer form video ads, carousel ads, and “Shop Now” buttons. In addition, its parent company, Facebook, encourages advertisers to run campaigns on both social sites.

As Instagram was adding more advertising features, people were worried that it would send users away from the app. That proved to not be an issue, as Instagram added an interactive feature to its ads. Users are able to provide feedback regarding the relevancy of the ad. This feedback has enabled Instagram to better target its ads.
