Spotify Launches New Display Ads

Spotify has launched a new mobile display advertisement named Billboard. The ad format previously popular on the desktop version has been formatted to fit mobile phones in the hopes of increased viewership. Spotify reported that the ads reach 100% vieweability.

Spotify realized that 65% of its users are on a mobile device and needed to create an advertisement platform that would satisfy companies and users. Thus, the creation of Billboard, it serves as the “Welcome Back” ad only when the screen is open.

In addition to the new ad format, Spotify is working to update its targeting capabilities. The music software company has partnered with Krux to help marketers advertise to specific audiences at the right time.
